Hill Shade RV park is a small, hidden treasure. We're 11 miles west of Gonzales, Texas, nestled among more than 200 shade trees. Leave the city behind, and enjoy the peace and quiet.
There is an old, private boat ramp and fishing dock about two blocks away, which is open to the public (currently for $5). This fishing lake can also be accessed via two piers owned by our neighbor, Dr. Bob. He is a retired science professor who enjoys sharing his property with our guests.
Gonzales is known for its Texas history. Palmetto State Park and Lakewood Recreation Area are a short drive. We are one hour from Austin and San Antonio, and just two hours from Houston.
We have 30 and 50 amp sites, three 70' pull-thru's, clean restrooms, hot showers, a full laundry room and FREE WIFI throughout the park. We are family and pet friendly. Just keep them on a leash (the pets, not the kids!). Hill Shade is much more than an RV park. We are a community. We enjoy one another and share life together as much as you choose.
